Obituary
William “Bill” John MacLean
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” John MacLean of Sarnia, Ontario, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born and raised in Sarnia, Bill was a quiet and private man who enjoyed listening to music, his Mustang GT, and spending time at local coffee shops, where he made a few close friendships over the years.
Bill was the loving father of Wade MacLean and father-in-law to Jessica, and the proud grandfather of Addison and Brennan, who were very special to him and whom he loved dearly.
He will also be remembered by his sister, Francis Pott, his brother, Allan MacLean and his wife, Lorrie, and extended family. Bill remained in contact with Mary Ann MacLean, with whom he shared many years of his life. He was predeceased by his brother Jim and other beloved family members.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery & Crematorium in Sarnia. There will be no viewing.
Bill will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and those who knew him.
Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Bill’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.
