Jason Patrick Grift, 44, of Petrolia passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, he left behind a lifetime of memories and touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Jason is survived by his parents, Al and Bonnie Grift. His son and best friend James Grift( Sammantha), and his daughter and adventure partner Kora Grift. He is also survived by his brother Jeremy Grift and niece and nephew Jered and Marlee Grift. Jason was also papa to Paislee and Baby J. He will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pre-deceased by his brother James Grift 1996 and grandparents Art and Tillie Grift, Bruce and Ruth Whitlock, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason was a long-time employee for Aluma systems in Sarnia. More importantly he was a young man who knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. He found happiness outdoors, especially with a fishing rod in hand or while hunting with family and friends. He also had a deep love for motorcycles and found freedom in riding and the open roads. Those who knew Jason will remember his sense of adventure and easy-going nature. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
